Chapter Leaders

Greetings West Michigan Chapter Members,

It’s that time of year in which you have an opportunity to be a volunteer leader for your local chapter. You can self-nominate or nominate someone you feel would serve the chapter well. Qualifications: Must be a professional member or member of ASSP in good standing for at least one year prior to election. Nominations & Elections forms will remain open until April 30th.  Election ballots will go out in May with results announced the week of May 13th.

According to our bylaws, the President position is a two-year term and all other elected positions are a one-year term. Newly elected officers will service from June 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025.

Technical Meeting: “MIOSHA Appeals Process and Elements Needed for a Citation”

Derek McCormick, JD, CSP, Attorney at Douglas W. Crim, PLC serves as a legal counsel for employers in OSHA/MIOSHA and workplace health and safety matters. Today, Derek will be sharing on how he assists companies in navigating the MIOSHA appeal and abatement process; and provide OSHA/MIOSHA regulatory training and guidance towards compliance.
