I trust all is well. It’s the time of the year for leadership nominations and elections. We have four election positions that are opening: Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Advisory Group Member.

2025 Michigan Safety Conference
The Michigan Safety Conference is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the improvement of workplace safety and health practices in the State of Michigan. The Michigan Safety Conference exists to provide education, and to create a community of experts, to help eliminate workplace injuries and fatalities.
WMASSP Chapter Meeting – Tier II reporting and Air Emissions Requirements
The West Michigan American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) presents in-depth technical session on Tier II reporting and air emissions requirements. This essential presentation will cover:
- Tier II Reporting Overview: A comprehensive guide to EPA’s SARA 312 program, highlighting the federal requirements for material storage reporting. Learn about Michigan-specific requirements, including the state’s reporting tools, thresholds, due date (March 1), and Extremely Hazardous Substances (EHS) list.
- Multi-State Considerations: Gain insights into Tier II reporting requirements in other states, ideal for professionals with responsibilities extending beyond Michigan.
- Michigan Air Emissions Reporting: Understand the reporting process through MiEnviro using SLEIS. This segment will detail Michigan’s air emissions reporting requirements and the submission deadline of March 15.
