Session Description:

MIOSHA, EGLE, the West Michigan Chapter of ASSP, and Feyen Zylstra invite employers and employees to share a cup of coffee and learn about the two agencies that regulate their work.

Most facilities answer to both MIOSHA and EGLE, yet rarely hear from each one back-to-back, informally, with time to ask their own questions.

Tarah Kile, MIOSHA Deputy Director, opens with the safety and health update, covering standards, enforcement trends, emphasis programs, and no-cost training and consultation resources. After the break, Aaron Keatley, EGLE Chief Deputy Director, covers air, waste, and water, including pending changes to Part 115 and Part 201, county materials management planning, and stormwater requirements.

Both agencies will have staff and materials on hand. Each update closes with open discussion, and there is time to talk with agency staff directly before and after the session.
