This is a field position based in Huron, Lapeer, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Sanilac, St. Clair, Tuscola, and Wayne Counties. The position requires establishing a home office in either Lapeer, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair or Wayne County.
Job Description:
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Investigating radiation facilities to determine compliance with Michigan’s Ionizing Radiation Rules and Part 135 of the Public Health Code.
- Gaining the necessary experience and expertise to allow subsequent certification as a mammography inspector under the federal Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).
This position also involves consulting with and advising individuals on radiation protection matters.
