Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree with 10+ years EHS experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Management, or related field
- ISO 14001 experience required; ISO 45001 preferred
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, management systems, and flammable chemical processes
- Proven ability to deliver effective safety training and presentations
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with audits, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance (EHS Internal Auditor a plus)
- Required/preferred certifications: First Aid, HAZWOPER, RCRA, DOT, Stormwater (EGLE)
- Ability to support a three-shift, two-location operation
Responsibilities:
✅ Leading EHS programs across two locations
✅ Advising leaders on safety risks, incidents, and regulatory requirements
✅ Managing incident investigations, root cause analysis, and 8D processes
✅ Maintaining MIOSHA compliance, injury/illness logs, and corrective actions
✅ Driving safety training, onboarding, and Safety Committee engagement
✅ Supporting workers’ compensation, return-to-work, and MOD rate management
✅ Serving as ISO 14001 Program Leader and Environmental Management Representative
✅ Ensuring compliance with air, water, waste, and emergency response requirements
✅ Actively promoting a strong safety culture through daily presence and intervention
