Aaron Gundrum is a MVPP Specialist with the Consultation Education and Training Division of MIOSHA. Aaron currently provides industrial health, safety, and processes safety management consultation and training services for general industry and construction companies throughout Michigan. Aaron has worked in various health and safety roles within multiple business sectors over the past 30 years including, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, paper/pulp processing, and automotive industries. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for regulatory health and safety management, organizational health and safety training, and operational business excellence. Aaron is a certified lead auditor of health and safety management systems, a graduate of Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental/Chemical Engineering and a Master’s of Science degree in Industrial Health from the University of Michigan.

Virtual Reality Implementation to Enhance Engagement
Tracey Patterson (Tech Evangelist), Jeff Podschlne (Safety Manager), and Aaron Brotsky (VP), each with 20+ years of hands-on experience, will be presenting on the benefits of Holly Construction’s Virtual Reality (VR) implementation to enhance engagement in safety, IH and VPP practices within self-perform settings.
• Tracey Patterson, Holly’s Tech Evangelist, has 20+ years cross-industry IT expertise and leads Holly’s Safety VR rollout.
• Jeff Podschlne, Holly’s Safety Manager, has 20+ years of construction-safety experience with a focus on self- perform work.
• Aaron Brotsky, Holly’s VP, has 20+ years of self-perform construction experience with a focus on self- perform work.
Victor Pizarro CSP, EHS Specialist, Miller Knoll
Safety Data Sheets and MVPP
Victor will be presenting on the development of Miller Knoll’s comprehensive online SDS system and the integral part it plays in their Industrial Hygiene program and their MVPP status. This system along with testing from their internal Industrial Hygiene team contributes to their world class safety program.
Victor is a dedicated safety professional with a well-rounded background in industrial safety and engineering. Originally from Florida, he has called West Michigan home since 2000. Victor earned his degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Grand Valley State University, complementing it with five years of study in Mechanical Engineering and four years in Spanish. He currently holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) credentials and is pursuing a master’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, along with business studies. Victor’s career spans diverse industries, including Tool & Die, furniture manufacturing, and automotive, with extensive experience in general and robotic safety. His expertise includes programming, machine design, sensor and robotics integration, safety assessments, noise level sampling, and more. After working in automotive safety, Victor returned to the furniture industry, where he continues to apply his multidisciplinary skills.
Outside of work, Victor enjoys the outdoors and stays active with mountain biking, hiking, running, camping, and snowboarding. His broad skill set, passion for safety, and love of the outdoors make him a well-rounded contributor to the EHS community.

Amy has been with Howmet Aerospace since March 2021 as an Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer. Her work experience prior was in healthcare specific to Respiratory Therapy. She has managed and treated occupational illnesses firsthand, however now her role is on the prevention side as she leads the Industrial Hygiene program at the campus. Amy has a BS in Occupational Safety and Health from Grand Valley State University and plans to pursue her CIH when eligible.
