Safety Leadership – What Does It Look Like, What’s New, and What’s Next?

Jonathan will take attendees through tips on safety leadership he has accumulated over the years and will lead a discussion of future trends and thoughts on where fresh and new safety culture and leadership ideas may be coming from. Jonathan Zimmerman has over 23 years of experience in the Environmental, Health, and Safety fields. He obtained both his BS and MS degrees in Environmental and Safety Management from The University of Findlay (Ohio). Mr. Zimmerman has also earned his CHMM and CSP certifications. .Mr. Zimmerman has filled various EHS roles in the Food Manufacturing, Chemical, and Automotive Parts Supplier industries. He has developed and directed EHS programs at the corporate level, as well as directly implementing these same programs where the rubber meets the road at the facility level. He teaches and leads by example whenever the door is opened to do so. As a professional member of ASSP, Jonathan is the Assistant Administrator of the Manufacturing Practice Specialty, President-Elect and Past President of the Southwest Ohio Chapter of ASSP, and Past Region 7 Vice President of ASSP.

Currently, Jonathan serves as the EHS Supply Chain Category Director at the Kellogg Company in Hamilton, Ohio.
